What To Look For When Choosing A Laser Hair Removal Center

When you want to get hair removed, you have four primary options: First, you can shave but buying shaves is expensive and shaving takes a lot of time. Second, you can use tweezers to remove the hairs but this takes too long and it hurts. Third, you can wax and while this is quick, it hurts a lot. Lastly, you can get laser hair removal. While it is expensive, that cost is offset by never shaving again and it is relatively painless when compared with waxing. The biggest task you have ahead of yourself with laser hair removal is what center or clinic you want to go through, and what you should look for. To make sure you get the right clinic for you, follow these tips:

  1. First, you want to find out what laser hair clinics and centers are located in your area. Once you have a list, you can begin going through and eliminating the ones that are not going to work for you.
  2. When you contact the laser hair removal clinics, ask them about their prices and procedures. Some clinics will want you to come in rather than call, for a consultation. You can do this, but only do it if the consultation is free. If it isn’t, then find another clinic and scratch this one off your list.
  3. During your consultation, find out what laser will be used. If you have dark skin, then they will probably use a YAG laser, while they will use pulsed light most likely if you have light skin.
  4. Once you have visited the clinics, go online and search through groups, websites and forums to find out if anyone has had anything to say about the clinics you visited. When someone is dissatisfied with something, they are much more likely to post the reasons why online than someone who is satisfied. Just because you only find bad reviews does not mean that the clinic is bad, but it is something to think about.
  5. Compare prices now between the clinics. The prices are going to reflect how professional the clinic is, the type of equipment used, how long the sessions are and how long the time between sessions is. Sometimes the more expensive clinic can be good, but it can also just be someone charging more to look more legit.
  6. When you are ready to choose and sign the contract, make sure you read the fine print to find out what the clinic takes responsibility for and what they do not take responsibility for. If they take responsibility for nothing, then go to the next clinic on your list. You want a clinic that takes your procedure seriously and is responsible for it.

Getting your hair removed by laser is an intensive process that lasts months. You want to make sure that the clinic you choose is a clinic you are going to be happy with. If you choose one who is only in it for the money, you won’t be happy with the results, so take the time to choose wisely.
