Laser Hair Removal Treatment
Laser hair removal treatment is safe and effective, but there are often many questions about the laser hair treatment itself. For example it is often asked how many treatments are necessary, how long the treatments are and do certain parts of the body warrant longer treatments than others.
Either you have your unwanted hair removed at a hair removal clinic or decide to use a laser hair removal device at home, laser hair removal treatments do not work in one shot. In fact, depending on your hair and skin type, it could take longer than you thought. For example, laser treatment for hair removal works best on light skin and dark hair. However, there are new technologies coming out that work on dark skin and dark hair. Light hair and light skin does not work well yet.
Laser hair treatments also take time to work. You cannot go in once and get permanent laser hair removal results you are looking for. In reality, laser hair removal treatments take between five and 12 treatments that have to be spaced out by two to three weeks each. This means it will take as much as half a year in order to remove all the hair that you want. This doesn't mean you shouldn't get laser hair treatment. The fact it takes so long shows it is not only done in a safe manner, but that it is effective as well.
Naturally, certain parts of the body will have hair removed through laser hair removal treatments more often than others. This is a list of the eight most popular areas to have hair removed with laser hair removal treatments.
- Abdominal: This region is often used for laser hair removal treatment by both men and women who want to remove problem hair from bellies. This area also accounts for some of the longest treatments because there is often so much hair to remove.
- Arms: Another common place for laser treatment for hair removal is the arms. Women will want to remove dark hair from the arms most often. Usually this will take less time than the abdomen but more time than the face or underarms.
- Back: This is the most expensive and time intensive form of laser treatment for hair removal. Often used by both men and women, it can take months to remove all the hair from the back.
- Bikini: Often used by both men and women, this laser treatment is not as expensive as the other forms but is one of the most, if not the most, popular area to treat.
- Chest: Both men and women will go for this laser hair removal treatment in an effort to have a chest that is clear, but without the pain of waxing. Not as time intensive as the back, but more than the abdomen and other parts usually.
- Facial Hair: This is a laser treatment for hair removal used most often by women. It is the least time intensive form of hair removal by laser treatment.
- Legs: Another one used primarily by women, this is one of the longest laser hair removal treatments that are possible, behind only the back and chest.
- Underarm: Used primarily by women, this laser hair removal treatment is just a bit longer than the facial hair treatment, but much less than other forms.
